COMPETITION RULES
1.
The X International Piano Competition Smederevo will be held ONLINE
from May 1, 2024- May 31, 2025
in Serbia, Europe
The application deadline is
April 30th, 2025
2.
The jury will be consist of at least three renowned piano/composition professors consisting of 3-6 members. The decision of the jury is final and irrevocable.
3.
If a teacher who has students in the competition is a member of the iury, he/she will not evaluate and participate in the evaluation of his/her students.
4.
The competition is open to all music students and professionals from around the world. The competition will be held by categories. Regular and part-time students of primary and secondary music schools, students, professional and free artists from Serbia and abroad have the right to participate.

The jury may interrupt the competitors if it exceeds the allowable playing time

Scoring:
95 – 100 points
85 – 94.99 points
75 – 84.99 points
65 – 74.99 points
0 – 64.99 points
If more candidates have the same number of points, we are happy to assign multiple first, second, third and fourth prizes, as well as prizes and certificates of appreciation.
If two candidates has the same number of points, adjudicators will determine the advantage in the ranking.
Laureate (absolute winner) must have at least 98 points.

All categories are for the competition online.
8.
For the competition must be submitted:
Unlisted (visible only to people who have a link)
or Public (visible to everyone)
It is required:
- The face and hands of the performer and the piano must be clearly seen in the frame at the same time
- The program should be mentioned in the description of the video
-The recording can also be recorded on your home instrument.
- The recording does not have to be complete, each composition can be attached separately, in a separate recording.
-The recording has no time limit on the date it was recorded.
-In order to better form a Playlist on the site:
If you have more than one video, you should combine your videos to make 1 (one) video, DO NOT make your own Playlist. If this is a problem, you can send links of individual compositions

Competitors are responsible for the cost of transport, food and accommodation during the competition live and concerts after competition.
11.
The organizer awards diplomas to the awarded competitors, and can also award special prizes, medals, cups, as well as gifts where applicable (live edition). Diplomas will be sent on e-mail for Online competitors.
The jury has the right to award special diplomas for the performance of a particular work, for a promising young artist, for achieving an artistic level of performance.
The jury may declare the competition laureates (absolute winner) as well as laureates in the individual categories.
The competition winner will be awarded the prize *Nevena Popović*
The most promising young artist under 14 years old will receive the *Andrija Čikić* award!
When choosing the winner of the competition, priority is given to the competitors of the Grand prix category. If there are no competitors with 100 points/ Absolute Winners, the winner of the competition can be announced from one of the categories of the Piano discipline. The adjudicators will determine Competition Winner.
The organizer reserves the right to invite candidates to concerts of their choice after the competition.
12.
Competitors are not entitled to compesation for video or audio recording of their performances. The organizer reserves the right to publish photos, recordings from the competition and concerts.
13.
For underage candidates, parents or guardians muat confirm the acceptance of the terms and conditions of the competition. By applying to the competition, the candidate together with his parent or guardian confirms that he accepts the conditions and rules of the competition. In a case of a dispute, the Court in Smederevo, Serbia, Europe. In this case, the applicable text of the rules in Serbian.
